If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single-family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update. Mar 10, 2026: When Thunder's neighbors complained about him running loose, his owner didn't want the neighbors to be upset anymore so they turned Thunder into the shelter. Thunder knows that he will find a new home and family through Lab Rescue who will treat him better and not give up on him. He is a young boy who is going through the typical puppy behaviors such as being mouthy, wiggly, jumping, pulling on leash, etc. He will shine once he goes to his required training so he can grow into the big boy that he physically is. Thunder is excited about his upcoming new life! Thunder is a 1-year and 8-month-old chocolate neutered male. He was neutered on 3/9 and needs to take it easy until 3/23. He weighs 95 pounds. He is current with vaccines. He will need distemper, lepto, lyme and CIV boosters between 3/30-4/6. READ MEDICAL TAB Thunder needs another Heartworm test in six months (September 2026) as we don't have proof he has been on heartworm preventatives. OGU to shelter
