About ILIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements: Setting: Rural, suburban Dwelling: Single family Fence: No fence required Training Addendum Required Ilia is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single-family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update. Mar 19, 2026: Ilia is more than ready to leave the kennel. He is super cute and likes to hang out with his brothers. But he would like to find a forever family even more. Feb 24, 2026: Ilia is skating in to find a family to love! This darling pup came to us from a very crowded situation and a rough start, but is ready for a family to call his own. Ilia is a young pup, so his new family should be prepared for puppy energy and antics. They will also need to be able to take him for his required training. Ilia is eager to explore all the fun things in life like cuddles, soft beds, toys, and treats! He is a bit shy at first, so give him treats and a minute. He is good with other dogs, but unknown with cats (may do well with slow, supervised introductions). He is approved for children ages 10 and up. If this boy's medaling in your heart, come meet him today! Ilia is an 8-month old (DOB: 6/17/25) chocolate neutered male. He was neutered on 2/27 and needs to take it easy until 3/13. He weighs 44.5 pounds which is an ideal weight for him. He is current with vaccines. Positive for lyme and anaplasmosis, non-contagious tickborne diseases, and is being treated with antibiotics for one month. READ MEDICAL TAB Ilia needs another Heartworm test in six months (August 2026) as we don't have proof he has been on heartworm preventatives. Ilia was surrendered to the rescue.
