About KELLER
Applicants must meet the following requirements: Setting: Rural, suburban Dwelling: Single family Fence: No fence required Training Addendum Required Keller is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single-family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update. Mar 19, 2026: Keller is still waiting to get out of the kennel. It's been almost a month that he's been there, so he's not smiling. He has learned to play with toys and likes to carry them around. The staff has been wonderful and spending a lot of time with them. Feb 24, 2026: Cutie pie Keller is skating in for a win! This young pup was surrendered to us with his brothers and sisters from a very crowded situation. He may have had a rough start, but we've got him up and running now! Keller is very much a puppy, so his new family should be prepared for puppy energy and antics! They will also need to commit to his required training addendum. Keller is very excited to explore fun things with his new family. He is good with other dogs, but unknown with cats (may do okay with slow, supervised introductions). He is approved for children ages 10 and up. Everything is new to him, so please go slowly. If this boy scored a hat trick on your heart, come meet him today! Keller is an 8-month-old (DOB: 6/17/25) chocolate neutered male. He weighs 48 pounds. He is current with vaccines. Positive for anaplasmosis, a non-contagious tickborne, disease, and is being treated with antibiotics for one month. READ MEDICAL TAB. Keller needs another Heartworm test in six months (August 2026) as we don't have proof he has been on heartworm preventatives. Keller was surrendered to the rescue.
