**IN ALEXANDRIA, VA. SILVIA IS THE CONTACT. PLEASE SEND APPLICATION** THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR WHO WANTS TO HELP ALL SENIOR PUPS FIND THEIR FOREVER HOMES, THE ADOPTION FEE IS $125. Applicants must meet the following requirements: Setting: Rural, suburban Dwelling: Single family home Fence: Physical fence required Only dog in the home Mar 13, 2026: Rudolph is doing very well with his routine and has been allowed “free access” to the home when being watched. His sits and downs are beautiful, leave it is getting strong, and drop its are becoming pretty reliable. He has remained neutral around dogs and is still showing no interest in interacting with them. LOVES his stuffed toys and showing them off. His door manners are also continuing to improve. Rudolph is very food/toy motivated and will do pretty much anything for them! His walking is also improving quite a bit with the couple good days we’ve had to practice outside! Mar 6, 2026: Look at the commands that Rudolph knows! https://youtube.com/shorts/C-QLppj8wQ8 Feb 27, 2026: Rudolph is very enthusiastic about his training work. He continues to improve with his walking and focuses on you especially when treats are involved. He’s used to sit and wait for his food. He will do best in a quiet home where people and children are not visiting regularly. He just wants a quiet environment and to chill in a backyard. Feb 20, 2026: Rudolph is becoming very enthusiastic about his work. His sit, down, and come are doing really well. We are working on walking with high rate of reinforcement and he’s getting the hang of things now! Rudolph still LOVES his stuffed toys and parading them around the house. He is working hard on his boundary training (sit and wait at doors, in kennel until released). He’s also working on a sit and wait for his food too which he LOVES! Overall Rudolph is a very food motivated, willing dog and picks up on new skills quickly! He will do best in a quiet home where people and children are not visiting regularly. He just wants a quiet environment instead of going out and socializing. Jan 23, 2026: Rudolph continues to do well in his foster home. He loves to retrieve and is very good with the household routine. He sleeps in his crate at night and also loves to carry toys around. He is strong on the leash and doesn't act his age. Last week he enjoyed playing in the snow and he is eagerly waiting for the next snowfall. Jan 8, 2026: Rudolph loves to play with toys. He likes to carry them around the house and show them to his humans. He is looking for a quiet household where he can enjoy running around the yard and taking naps. Jan 2, 2026: Rudolph enjoyed the holidays and continues to enjoy retrieving and lounging around the house. He knows several commands, like sit, down, wait, release, and he continues to work on his overall leash manners. He is very food motivated! This gentleman is looking for a quiet household where he can get all the attention. Rudolph loves to fetch: https://youtube.com/shorts/97tDD8XEqcs Dec 12, 2025: Rudolph is a super sweet senior dog, happy is an understatement for this guy! He loves a good butt scratch and a sniff around the yard. He is a strong guy, so a fenced yard over leashed walks is recommended. He is good with cats, not reactive on leash or behind fence towards dogs, but would prefer to be the only dog, so he is the center of your attention. He does not want the shenanigans of other dogs. Rudolph is kennel trained and is clean and quiet in the kennel. He loves a good puzzle toy and will carry stuffed toys around the house like a prize! He has not displayed any resource guarding, and so far he has pretty good house manners too! Rudolph knows sit, down, come, leave it, and wait! Rudolph is approved for kids 10 and up. Energetic Rudolph loves to run: https://youtube.com/shorts/GAsNZxdVDrw Rudolph is a 9 year old chocolate neutered male. He is current on vaccines. Rudolph weighs 91 pounds. READ MEDICAL TAB.
