About MOLLY #7

Applicants must meet the following requirements: Setting: Rural, suburban Dwelling: Single family No fence required, no e-fences Training Addendum Required March 5, 2026: Molly is sweet, cuddly and easy to have around. She loves to snuggle on the sofa with her people, and gently tucks her head into the crook of your neck and sighs in contentment. She is quickly learning that she needs to keep her paws on the ground, remove herself from the kitchen and eating area at mealtimes, and how to sit and come on command. She takes treats ever-so-gently, and happily exchanges toys for a treat or another toy. She enjoyed inside playtime and puzzle toys during the recent rainy days, and was thrilled to get out for a nice walk and outdoor playtime once again. She does great on leash, and is more relaxed on car rides - hopping right in the car and watching out the window during errands. Molly needs adopters willing to set boundaries - once she knows her people are in charge, she relaxes and goes with the household flow. She is a loving pup that deserves her own people to love forever. She is a snuggler, and loves to follow foster mom everywhere. She plays well with the resident dog, but is more interested in her humans. She loves walks and the opportunity to investigate all the smells. She does well with an EZ-Walk harness, and does well in the car! Molly sleeps all night on a dog bed in the main bedroom, and is house-trained. She crates well for mealtimes and when left alone, but does not appreciate being crated for bedtime or when people are in the house. She is almost ready for run of the house when you are not home! She is a quick learner. Molly hadn’t had much experience living in a home before she came to Lab Rescue, so she does startle at new sounds (like the ice maker), and needs a little extra patience to adjust to new types of flooring (like hardwood). She’ll do best in a quiet home with few comings and goings. A calm, assertive human will be Molly’s best match. Molly looks to her humans for reassurance and direction. Her ideal adopter will be a confident handler who will set clear expectations for her, and give her plenty of time to settle into her new home. She gets very excited around food, and will try to jump and mouth for a nibble. Adopters will keep counters clear, and use snack time as training time. Fosters are working on sitting for a treat or pets to help reinforce those manners. Molly isn’t keen to give up her toys and balls; fosters are working on how to trade - her high food motivation is helping! Sweet Molly has been through a lot in her short life, caring for her 8 puppies in a small doghouse outdoors with only food and water provided by a kind neighbor. Despite this rough start, she is devoted to her humans and easy to have around given appropriate exercise and guidance. Molly is good with other dogs, unknown with cats and approved for kids 10 and up.  Molly romps in the snow: https://youtube.com/shorts/kDvtFnJUlvc Molly sparkles in the snow: https://youtube.com/shorts/0j3aY7REbog Molly is an approximately 18-month-old black spayed female. She is current on vaccines. Molly weighs 66 pounds. She tested positive for Lyme, a non-contagious, tickborne disease and was treated with antibiotics for one month. READ MEDICAL TAB.
