About Nova #2

Applicants must meet the following requirements: Setting: Rural, suburban Dwelling: Single family Physical fence required Energy level: Low Needs a home with few steps/lots of carpet THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR WHO WANTS TO HELP ALL SENIOR PUPS FIND THEIR FOREVER HOMES, THE ADOPTION FEE IS $125. Mar 20, 2026: Nova’s second favorite thing to do is relax in the sun. Her first is eating! Mar 12, 2016: Nova is learning that going in the car takes her to fun places where she gets love and treats! She is becoming more confident and and avid fan of soccer! Jan 7, 2026: Nova #2 is a sweet doll. She is very low maintenance and really just needs a soft spot. She has a couple dog beds she has an affinity for. She sleeps most of the day, but she really enjoys wandering in the yard and loves that our front yard is fenced so she can wander and lounge. She is good with other dogs but can get knocked over by the younger ones, so she will do best in a home without rambunctious dogs. She sleeps through the night in a dog bed in the bedroom. We have avoided crating her but have found if she is given the opportunity to potty before we leave the house, we can close her in the bedroom and we have had no accidents. We try not to leave her for too long, but she has done well for 4-6 hours. Dec 11, 2025: Nova is a very sweet senior girl and settling into her foster home very well. She rode home from the vet perfectly. She quickly found a nice spot to lay down and enjoyed the ride, though will need a boost to get into a car as her rear legs are showing her age. Nova needs a home with very few stairs; she has age-related arthritis. Nova can manage the 2 front door steps at her foster then a final step into the house, but happily uses the ramp to get in and outside. Some days she is stiffer than others, and does need a little time to warm up those legs after resting for longer stretches. She enjoys checking out the yard for all the possible new smells, returning when she's satisfied all is good. Then it's time for a rest/nap. Nova does look for an reward after being a really good girl, and takes her treats very gently. She does use the crate when fosters are out, as there are other dogs in the home. She's well-mannered and would likely not need to be crated otherwise. She sleeps peacefully through the night in the bedroom on her dog bed. She has been picking out a tennis ball to chew on. Nova is just a sweet easy-going older girl looking for love and a soft spot to lay her head. Nov 22, 2025: Sweet Nova was found wondering as a stray and no one came looking for her. Now she is hanging out with Lab Rescue looking for her forever family. Approved for kids 10 and up as we have no history of her ever living with young children. She is unknown with cats and good with other dogs Nova - 12 yr old, spayed, black female. She is current on vaccines. Nova weighs 57.2 pounds. READ MEDICAL TAB. Nova needs another heartworm test in 6 months (May, 2026) since we don't have proof that she was on preventatives before coming to Lab Rescue. Stray to the shelter.
