She gets along with and plays very well with the resident dog. Fiona is very good at retrieving and likes to catch the balls and frisbees in the air. She enjoys chew toys especially and running in the yard with the resident dog. Fiona will sit on command and will come to you when calling her name. She is still working on her tendency to jump on people when greeting them; she’s just so happy to make your acquaintance. She walks well with a harness and does better in a quieter area where there are fewer cars and trucks. She’d love to hike in the woods, but she does pull for squirrels and birds. Right now she’s walking several miles a day, and enjoying playtime with the resident dog! She loves car rides and walks, and gets so excited when you put on her harness. She has a great appetite and enjoys fruits and vegetables. She takes her time and chews her food and doesn’t inhale it like the resident dog. Fiona enjoys frozen kongs filled with peanut butter as a treat. She’s not a fan of the crate, but doesn’t get into things she shouldn’t (as long as you have the trash secured, as she can be an opportunist), and sleeps well through the night. She is housetrained, and loves meeting new people. Fiona is a cuddler, and very affectionate with foster dad. She’s a lovely senior gal who has a lot of spunk and happiness to share with her new family. We can’t believe this lovely lady is still waiting on her forever home! The shelter discovered that she is friendly and loves to play. She gets the zoomies and enjoys catching treats out of the air. She gets along well with other dogs but she is unknown with cats. She is approved for kids aged 10 and up as there is no history. More on Fiona as she goes to into a foster home and we learn more about her. Fiona is a black spayed female. She is current on vaccines. She takes meds for seasonal allergies. She weighs 63 pounds. READ MEDICAL TAB. Fiona needs another Heartworm test in six months (February 2026) as we don't have proof he has been on heartworm preventatives. Fiona was a stray to the shelter.
